Day 20. A day in Birmingham city

off today into Birmingham to try and nail some of the things on my shopping list. Im not a big shopper but in a different country the shops are always interesting. I got the train into the city and I was off. Actually I didnt go very far at all as in Birmingham this have this huge 4 storey mall that goes on two sides of the street called the Bullring plus there are markets as well.  The photos that follow are :if you can imagine standing in one spot looking at the church called St Martin in the Bullring then turning right and going 360 degrees. The different architecture from old to ultra modern, amazing sculptures, and hustle and bustle that makes this a very cool place to hang out. The silver bubbly looking building is Selfridge department store. It was quite controversial when it was built , as you can imagine. The type of architecture is called blobitecture!

Then off to the Bullring markets afterwards. Always  interesting and colourful. Funny but I have been asked by several people for directions. I must look like a local!!. I have been able to help the people who have asked me though as I had a map. (-: I did have a laugh when the lady in Selfridges  said she thought she knew me from somewhere... Then back on the train to Vos. We are dropping Jess off to Crufts dog show for the rehersals. She is at Crufts in a volunteer capacity for the charity Pets as Therapy. She does a wonderful job over the three days.We are going on Sunday to see the bichons.
